Who we are
zachadamseffect.com is the home page of the Zach Adams Effect
YouTube channel, operated by Zach Vorhies. This policy explains what is collected on
this website and what the tools behind the channel do with data.
This website collects nothing about you
- There are no accounts, forms, sign-ups or newsletters here, so we never ask you for
personal information.
- These pages set no cookies and run no analytics, advertising or
third-party tracking scripts.
- The site is served by GitHub Pages. GitHub may record ordinary server
logs (such as IP address and browser user agent) for security and operating the
service, under GitHub's own privacy statement.
- Following the links to YouTube takes you to Google's properties, where YouTube's and
Google's own policies apply, not this one.
The video publishing tool
Videos are published to the channel by a private application ("Zach Adams Effect
Uploader", Google Cloud project zachadamseffectapp, OAuth client
hermes-uploader) that uses YouTube API Services. In connection
with that tool:
- It requests a single permission,
youtube.upload, and uses it only to upload
video files to the channel the owner controls.
- It acts only on the account that authorizes it. It does not read or collect information
about any other YouTube user or channel, and it never connects to a visitor's Google
Account.
- Its access credentials are stored on the owner's own machine, are never shared, and can
be revoked at any time at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Information obtained through the Google APIs is not sold, transferred or
disclosed to third parties, is not used for advertising or to determine
creditworthiness, and is not used to train machine learning models.
- Zach Vorhies's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app
will adhere to the Google
API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Use of YouTube API Services is also subject to the
YouTube Terms of Service and the
Google Privacy Policy.
Children
This site and the channel are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with
personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, the date at the top of this page will be updated
and the new version posted at this same URL.
